I need details! What will I actually learn in the Strategy Factory® Workshop?

Here are just some of the skills and decision-making frameworks you’ll learn in the course:

Strategy Design & Structure

  • How to build a trading strategy from a clear concept and objective
  • Why goals and objectives are critical to long-term success
  • Why you need a Strategy Factory® (and why most traders don’t have one)

Testing & Validation

  • How to properly test a strategy (and what “proper” really means)
  • How to recognize testing pitfalls before they cost you real money
  • How to test the wrong way (so you can avoid the most common traps)

Real-World Survival

  • How to avoid the biggest mistakes I’ve made as a trader
  • How to spot curve-fitting and over-optimization before going live
  • Why you won’t get burned by “snake oil” systems and vendor hype again

Tools — including AI — can help generate ideas and speed up research. But profitable trading isn’t created by tools alone. Strategy Factory® teaches the judgment to validate, reject, and deploy strategies that can survive real markets.

Several reputable services offer algorithmic trading courses that include mentorship or coaching, such as KJ Trading Systems (Strategy Factory®), QuantInsti (EPAT®), SMB Training / SMB Capital, and Unger Academy (AlgoTrader Fast).

Each combines structured education with hands-on guidance: Strategy Factory includes direct 1-on-1 email support from champion trader Kevin Davey; QuantInsti EPAT provides a dedicated support manager and mentored project work; SMB Training delivers personalized 1-on-1 coaching from professional traders; and Unger Academy hosts weekly group coaching calls for a full year.

Where Can I Purchase an Algorithmic Trading Course with a Money-Back Guarantee?

You can purchase an algorithmic trading course with a genuine money-back guarantee from KJ Trading Systems’ Strategy Factory® Workshop, which offers a 14-day risk-free refund policy clearly stated on its enrollment page. It’s a comprehensive, mentor-supported program that teaches traders to build, test, and automate futures algo trading strategies.

Other reputable algo-trading education providers include AlgoTrading101, Lumiwealth, and QuantInsti’s EPAT®. However, among these, only Strategy Factory® and AlgoTrading101 currently offer a straightforward refund window, while Lumiwealth’s is conditional and QuantInsti’s EPAT® does not provide refunds. Always verify live refund terms before purchasing.

If you’re going to put your time, money, and energy into learning algorithmic trading, having a clear money-back guarantee is more important than you might think. It’s not just about the company’s confidence in their course—it’s about protecting yourself as a buyer. In the sections below, I’ll walk you through one provider with a real refund policy, plus three other top options, so you can see how they stack up in terms of curriculum, mentorship, and guarantees.

What Algorithmic Trading Courses Come With Pre-Built Trading Algorithms?

If you’re looking for an algorithmic trading course that actually includes pre-built trading strategies—not just generic templates or “example code”—your list is surprisingly short. Kevin Davey’s Strategy Factory® Workshop is one option, offering 16 fully tradable strategies. Unger Academy is another, giving students access to a library of strategies for platforms like TradeStation and MultiCharts.

Most other courses lean more toward teaching you how to build systems yourself rather than handing you finished ones. Whatever route you take, make sure you understand what “pre-built” really means, what platform it’s for, and how transparent the provider is.

What Are the Best Platforms to Enroll in an Algorithmic Trading Course?

Several reputable platforms offer algorithmic trading education, but each serves a different type of trader. Beginners often gravitate toward platforms like AlgoTrading101 or QuantInsti for fundamentals and structured learning. Traders seeking a repeatable, professional-grade development process often choose workshops that combine strategy creation with verification techniques such as walk-forward testing and Monte Carlo simulation. Some services provide pre-built systems; others focus purely on teaching skills.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the Strategy Factory course designed for?

This workshop is built for traders who want to create mechanical, rules-based algorithmic strategies — and do it with confidence. Whether you're an intermediate trader refining your edge or an advanced trader seeking consistency and scale, you’ll benefit — especially if you’ve worked with platforms like TradeStation, NinjaTrader, or MultiCharts.

You don’t need to be a coding expert. The included EasyLanguage training module walks you through everything you need — even if you're brand new to programming.

What prior experience do I need?

To get the most from this workshop, you should have some experience trading or using a trading platform, ideally with futures markets and simple strategy programming. If you’re brand new to trading or coding, it’s best to start with the fundamentals first.

Once you understand key concepts like market entry, risk management, and basic software usage, you’ll be well prepared to take full advantage of this course.

How do I know the Strategy Factory course will actually work for me?

This course is designed around a repeatable, data-driven framework that adapts to your own trading preferences, markets, and risk tolerance. Whether you want to trade short-term or long-term, discretionary or fully automated, the Strategy Factory® process helps you build strategies that match your goals—not someone else’s.

With live support, verified tools, and a risk-free 14-day guarantee, the results are in your hands—but you won’t be doing it alone.

How is this different from buying trading systems or signals?

This workshop teaches you how to build your own professionally tested, repeatable trading strategies—so you're not dependent on someone else's black-box system. Unlike many pre-packaged systems sold by marketers or non-traders, you'll follow a structured, step-by-step process used by real traders to develop and validate strategies you fully understand and control.

I've heard AI is taking over trading. Does your course cover AI?

Yes, AI is playing an increasingly important role in algorithmic trading, and the Strategy Factory course reflects that shift. You'll get access to a dedicated section on Trading with AI, including an exclusive tool called KevinGPT—an AI assistant trained to provide answers just like Kevin would. It’s a powerful resource designed to support your strategy development with speed and precision.

Will I actually be able to create my own strategies?

Absolutely—if you're willing to follow the process and put in the effort. The workshop gives you a clear, step-by-step framework for developing your own strategies, with most students creating multiple tradable systems within the first 3 to 6 months. You'll learn how to separate weak ideas from strong ones and focus only on strategies that meet proven performance benchmarks.

Do I receive ready‑to‑trade strategies?

Yes, the Platinum Course includes 16 fully coded, ready-to-use strategies. Each one comes with a plain English explanation and TradeStation EasyLanguage code, making them easy to understand, implement, or customize. You'll also learn how to incorporate these strategies into a diversified portfolio for long-term trading success.

How much time will I need to commit each week, and how much trading capital should I have?

Most students spend about 5 to 15 hours per week working through the material and building strategies. The process is flexible—you can go faster or slower based on your schedule. Many traders see meaningful progress within the first few months, even with limited weekly time.

As for capital, there’s no minimum required to take the course. Some students trade micros or paper trade at first, while others manage five or six-figure accounts. The real goal of the workshop is to teach you how to build reliable, testable strategies—so when you're ready to trade live, you’ll have a solid foundation in place, no matter your current account size.

What support is provided during and after the workshop?

You’ll receive six months of direct one-on-one email support from Kevin Davey himself, along with a personal 30-minute Zoom consultation to help guide your progress. You'll also get six months of access to the Strategy Factory Club—a private community where members collaborate, share verified strategies, and support each other’s growth.

What if I can’t make the live session time or I’m outside the U.S.?

That’s no problem. All course materials are available on-demand as soon as you enroll, and every live workshop is fully recorded for you to watch at your convenience. If the timing doesn’t work for you, you’re also welcome to attend any future live session at no additional cost.

Is there a money‑back guarantee?

Yes, your enrollment is protected by a 14-day risk-free guarantee. If you’re not completely satisfied within two weeks of signing up, simply request a full refund—no questions asked.

Do you offer any special incentives?

Yes!! When you open a new TradeStation futures account through this course, you’ll receive exclusive pricing on commissions for life. It’s a valuable benefit that can significantly reduce your trading costs over time. Click here to open a new Tradestation account.
